Nashville's Lisa Thornqvist Releases a Short Film Music Video "The World"

Country singer songwriter Lisa Thornqvist has just released her comedic short film covering Brad Paisley’s single “The World”. This passion project is dedicated to her father who recently passed at the age of 79 years old after a ten year battle with Dementia.

While covering this song, Lisa wanted to share her vision of HER world and her vision of the song. Her tongue and cheek short film encompasses her joy and love of country music and entertainment. She says, "I love music videos, but I wanted to do something a bit different so I manifested a short film." Lisa brought a comedic flair to her production while creating a fun on-set atmosphere for everyone involved in the process. Hailing from Sweden but living in Nashville, Tennessee, Lisa is clearly a well versed fan and singer of country music. This Swedish artist has her feet firmly planted in Music City and she’s not going anywhere soon.

MORE ABOUT LISA THORNQVIST:

Being inspired by a country band on the radio, Lisa visited Nashville for the first time in 2016.

She decided to give up her corporate job and sell her apartment in Sweden to pursue a career as a country artist full time and never looked back ever since. The journey took her to places like England and Argentina to perform at various open mic nights and festivals. All with the goal to be able to make her return to Music City.

During her time in Argentina she participated in two country music festivals. One was the biggest festival in South America called San Pedro Country Festival that brought in over 60,000 people. Lisa has since been aired on Country Music Radio in Argentina, Radio Disney, Cowboys EN FM, and Fenix FM. Lisa has also been interviewed on NBRN, the Fran McLeran Radio Show, and Keith Bradford in Nashville. In 2021, Lisa was discovered by a talent scout which led her to be invited on a global platform called Sessions. Here, she did live streams where people can participate to take part in different festivals online during COVID. During this time, she started to write scripts and direct her own music videos. That hard work and dedication paid off when Lisa recently won an award for Best Music Video at Reale Film Festival in Milan. The latest music video has just been released on her YouTube Channel and serves as a sort of tribute to her idol Dolly Parton.

Lisa takes part in 'Women In Film and Television' in Nashville where she collaborates with other women on their various projects with short films and music videos. Throughout the rest of 2024 and into 2025, Lisa will be dedicating her time toward setting up a country production show right here in Nashville. The goal of this project is to take people on a journey through time with a mix of country classics while also showcasing independent artists like herself.

Lisa is represented by Publicity Nation PR & Heart Songs Music Group.
