Review: Madison Parks' New Single "Best Ones Do" is a Heartfelt Father-Daughter Celebration

Nashville pop-country artist and songwriter Madison Parks just released her heartfelt and sentimental original single "Best Ones Do" last Friday, May 26th. Co-written & produced by Matt McVaney (Kane Brown, Chase Rice) and mastered by Daniel Bacigalupi (Darius Rucker, Gabby Barrett), “Best Ones Do” sweetly recounts a father/daughter phone call following a great date. The song opens with a slide guitar intro paired with a catchy beat in the background creating the perfect blend of pop and country. Madison describes the guy she went on a date with; he opened the door for her, planned the whole night, showed up early, a very different narrative than the classic breakup song. These details paint a picture of a perfect date, and very aware that her father laid the pathway for her to celebrate the man she deserves to have in her life.

The instrumentation swells, leading to a catchy chorus as Madison sings the genuine lyrics, "Thanks for showing me/ What a real man's supposed to be." This positivity and atmosphere of gratitude is refreshing as Madison thanks her dad for teaching her the right way to be treated. While this may not be everyone's experience, Madison's single is empowering for every girl, as she reminds her fans what her dad taught her, "the best ones do."

Right in time for father's day, Madison's single inspires us to show that same gratitude towards our dads, and to never settle for someone who doesn't treat you right. A sweet summer tune, "Best Ones Do" is a perfect playlist add! Happy Fathers Day from Madison Parks. Four stars for this upcoming Nashville artist.
